To create this type of model does not take a short amount of time to create. This model being the longest it took me to make and a lot of planning beforehand which without could have ended with my model collapsing. A piece like this takes a lot of work and gravity and weight affected the success of this type of model. I needed to add more supporting materials such as wire. Despite this taking a long time to produce and me getting quite annoyed during the process, I am most pleased with this model compared to the rest due to the amount of detail in shape I was able to capture.
The wire model was difficult to make but is effective because its light weight and won't break if dropped unlike the other models, this model is much less fragile. Wire modeling is great because of the ability to re-arrange the wires positioning at anytime. Overall a great type of model.
This model can turn out great but because the model is flimsy and not as strong as the paper mache model this type of model gets out shined by the paper mache model.
Being able to create things like springs for legs is a great option to be be able to do with the wire model, gives you the ability to be more creative.
The model is quite flimsy which is a problem with this wire model but overall the wire model is great for creativity and is a quick project to make.
This clay model was super easy to make with the clay being easy to manipulate to create the shapes i wanted. The clay model is very soft at first which makes it fantastic as a modelling material but after a few days the material becomes as solid as a rock which means it cannot be manipulated anymore. A major problem with making a model with clay is the fact that even though its solid it can still break quite easily if dropped.
Overall great but if broken would be a lot of time wasted.
As you can see in this picture i was able to add a nice texture last minute which is a huge pro when using this material.
The final result of the clay model is hard and strong but can be broken into many pieces if dropped and this is unavoidable. Before the material hardens through this material is soft and has a close resemblance to play dough.
